Dynabook launches 15-inch thin-and-light Tecra X50 notebook with some big conveniences - helmsfrated
Dynabook
Larger laptops are typically big, persuasive machines, pushing into the territory of mobile workstations. Dynabook, however, is announcing the Tecra X50, a "thin and light" 15.6-in notebook that delivers big-screen convenience without the weight.
Dyanbook, which carries connected the legacy of Toshiba's Personal computer division, already offers X-serial laptops in 12-, 13-, and 14-inch models. But Dynabook's ToughBody magnesium debase chassis weighs in at just 3.13 pounds, far to a lesser degree, say, the 15-inch Microsoft Aboveground Leger 2 (4.2 pounds) operating theatre the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 (3.75 pounds).
To be fair, both of the latter machines aspire to powerful mobile calculation platforms, if not outright workstations. The Dynabook X50's aspirations are more modest: Rather than lead the way into Intel's 10th-gen Core generation, the X50 uses an 8th-gen Whisky Lake chip with vPro, and nobelium distinct GPU.
Dynabook Dynabook's Tecra X50 boasts a Harman/Kardon-supercharged audio organization.
On the opposite hand, the X50 is one of the few to include an Intel Optane SSD, as well as a power-sipping Sharp IGZO LCD display, which helps contribute to a 17-hour rated battery life—importantly more the more communal 8 to 12 hours. In that respect's a thumping 32GB of memory, overly, and a high TB of SSD storage. Information technology terminate even connect to trey extrinsic 4K displays via the included pair of Thunderbolt ports, though you'll call for a dock and perhaps daisy-chaining them to bang.
Dynabook A slippery webcam shutter helps continue privacy.
It's probably fair to tell that while the Dynabook Tecra X50 may non qualify in slue power, it tries to compete in convenience. The notebook computer uses a Modern Secondary connecter to maintain a nether-power connective at all times, downloading netmail and patches in the desktop. The chassis itself was engineered to MIL-STD-810G drop, temperature, humidness, and dust standards. Dynabook also built in a sliding seclusion shutter over its HD webcam, which doubles A a Windows Hello login mechanism. A secondary biometric login device is built into the Synaptics touchpad. A pair of Bombshell 3 ports gives you data and display connectivity, equally substantially as charging. It does non come with any USB adapters or a pen, however.
Dynabook The Tecra X50 leave represent priced at $1,544 and up, Dynabook aforementioned.
